DOUG'S NOTES:

If you've ever been in a relationship with a mercurial personality ("up" and "down" like mercury in a thermometer,) "Roller Coaster" will resonate with you.

As I've written before, some songs are inspired by personal experiences; and some come completely out of the blue. I'll let you take a guess as to which of these two scenarios applies to "Roller Coaster." (And no, I wrote this way before I ever met the very even-keeled Tammy!)

We performed this song a lot in the '90s, and our fans would launch into a signature dance move when the chorus came around! If you'd ever attended one of our shows in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area in those days and happened to see Debby & Gary Schellhorn and Keith & Dee Frazier on the dance floor, you were sure to have seen them doing this slick step to "Roller Coaster!"
