DOUG'S NOTES:

I FEEL AS THOUGH I'VE COME FULL CIRCLE. One of the first tunes I ever recorded was "April Lee" for Nashville's Chart Records back when I was in my early 20s. That was over forty years ago. Over the years whenever I'd hear that recording, I'd imagine how I'd redo the arrangement and vocals if I got the chance.

It's hard to believe that my young-adult and middle-age years have flown by in the blink of an eye, and now I'm suddenly a "senior citizen!" So, I decided it's finally time to revisit "April Lee" by including this remake on a current album project titled Sometime in September - scheduled to be released in 2021.
