The Memory Brothers recorded "The Moon Says Go" for a California indie record label, Minotaur Records, back in 1992. The company released the song on two different albums, Somebody's Searchin' (1993) and This Side of Nashville (2015.)
The recording was done in West Union, Iowa at Doug Koempel's studio, Bird-On-Fire
